Government Medical College, Manjeri is the sixth government medical college under the Government of Kerala , inaugurated on 1 September 2013 by Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. The college, is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), and has 500 beds and 12 operation theatres with an intake of 110 students for MBBS every year. The first medical college in the government sector in the State in 31 years, is a fulfillment of a long-cherished dream of the largest populated district in the Kerala state.
