INTRODUCTION
The OBG team of Manjeri GMC, headed by Dr. K. J. Jacob, handles both obstetric and
gynecological cases with utmost expertise.
The team has versatile and motivated gynecologists who are available round the clock in the
hospital.
We provide antenatal care including high risk pregnancies, MTP, normal vaginal deliveries,
caesarean section in indicated cases, contraception services and sterilization (PPS,
laparoscopic); gynecological surgeries like hysterectomy (vaginal, abdominal or
laparoscopic), operative laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, screening for gynecological
malignancies, staging laparotomy.

- Feto-maternal outcome in SARS-COV2 infection in a COVID designated hospital in north Kerala.
- Correlation of placental histo-morphology with fetal outcome in COVID positive antenatal women.
- Psychological impact of COVID-19 infection in antenatal women.
CURRICULUM:
As per the guidelines of MCI, the undergraduates who are the upcoming clinicians are taught to provide preventive, promotive, curative, palliative and holistic care through competency based medical education (CBME) which is an integrated learning strategy of the traditional subjects through problem-based approach. This approach is continued and the house surgeons are skill trained and gain evidence-based knowledge.
